Q. How is my price cheaper than another company’s, do I use cheaper screens?

A. No I do not use cheaper screens, I use the best I can get, and I would only fit in your cluster, parts I would be happy with in my own MK1 Quattro Sport, and if you know me, you know how fussy I am with my own cars. I just charge less to do the job and buy parts in bulk to reduce costs.

Q. Is there VAT on top?

A. No, I’m a registered sole trader with HMRC so no VAT.

Q. Am I an actual engineer or Hobbyist?

A. There are lots of types of engineers for example, Civil, IT, Software, Mechanical etc., I am a qualified Electronic and Electrical engineer, I worked for many years in the Telco industry, Networking industry and Video transmission Industry. It is a good question and should be asked, I mean you wouldn’t want a software engineer doing plans for your new house, or an IT engineer machining a part for you on a milling machine etc. would you. We do see a lot of previous repairs by people that are clearly not great at soldering.

Q. How do I clean the cluster?

A. The glass is removed (MK1 TT), ultra sonic cleaned, the front of the cluster is hand cleaned. All other clusters are hand cleaned inside and out.

Q. How do I send it to you?

A. Most people send them Royal Mail Special delivery as its pre 1pm, tracked and insured for £750.

Q. Can I drop the cluster off and collect 90 Mins later?

A. Yes you can.

Q. Do I offer a bring the car service?

A. Yes I do, you can drop it off and I can remove / repair / refit the cluster for you.

Q. What’s the turnaround time?

A. We try our best to get them out the same day but allow 24 hours on site, due to time of day cluster arrives and work load I may have.

Q. Why don’t we take payment on our website?

A. I will not take any payment until your cluster is repaired, this also keeps our costs down and our prices cheaper.
